Updated Flight Academy Rewards

Last week, community management published the results for Flight Academy NFTs and rewards. Because certain aspects of scoring and some fraud checks were automated, a few higher-quality participants ended up being disqualified or were not ranked in the appropriate rewards tiers. For this reason, an appeals process was created. For various reasons, community members had until December 18 to file an appeal. Community management manually reviewed appeals over the weekend to overturn disqualifications and to ensure more accurate scoring.

The final results for community rewards can be viewed here.

Please note: this rewards list is absolutely final. For any additional appeals, you will need to work with the community management and other members of the community to put together a governance proposal after GFI launches.

Clarifications

  1. Flight Academy rewards are separate from any rewards that could be given to liquidity providers or Backers for providing USDC in the Senior Pool or Borrower Pools.
  2. Flight Academy NFTs will not be required to redeem GFI rewards.
  3. Anyone who appealed and had a disqualification overturned will unfortunately not be eligible for an NFT. To address this, one option (after the GFI token launches) would be for the community to propose a grant for developers to work on issuing new NFTs.
  4. If you don’t see you address on the list, please double check to make sure that the address on the list you are checking is the same address you used to go through verification. This is important, as identity verification on the Goldfinch app was required to qualify for rewards. To clarify, only verification and not UIDs were required to qualify. A UID will likely be required to claim awards, so please mint your UID at https://app.goldfinch.finance/verify if you have not already. If you no longer have access to this address, there is unfortunately no way to update your address in the rewards list at this time.
  5. A few community members highlighted that a few people had fraudulently created multiple accounts in order to earn additional rewards. The community management has spent countless hours trying to identify and disqualify attempted multi-account fraud. Many fraud attempts have been blocked, and community management will continue to investigate these accusations of fraud.
  6. Many appeals were related to participants concerned that they had been placed in the incorrect tier. The previous Achievement Level labels in the last post might have been misleading. These labels were based on rough estimates of modules completed, but may have been confusing given that many participants completed a few tasks in each of the modules. The following table has updated labels to help clarify:
Tier Achievement Level GF
1 Completed all assessments tasks and challenges, earned top scores, and had multiple showcased works or earned top scores on the Module 5 challenge 6000
2 Completed all assessments tasks and challenges, earned top scores, and likely had showcased work 4000
3 Completed all assessments tasks and challenges, and earned top scores 2500
4 Completed assessments and almost all tasks and challenges 1500
5 Completed assessments as well as most tasks and challenges 700
6 Completed assessments as well as many tasks and challenges 350
7 Completed assessments as well as a few tasks and challenges 150
8 Completed most assessments and a limited number of tasks 50

Note: community management, artists etc. may receive higher than the listed amount due to extra tokens they received for their contributions.

Final Note

Thank you again to everyone who participated in the Academy and who supported the scoring process! We sincerely hope that all participants who will receive rewards will continue to add value in the Goldfinch community, and support building the Goldfinch protocol. We look forward to working together to improve financial inclusion across the globe.
